Seems I get to set this one up dreamcatcher.freei.me/comic/?p=451In this update We meet some people at the mayor-king's house: a guard who appears will just be there for background and someone else who appears quite nice. that's about it now for my comments: The nice man seems to be wearing clothing similar to Xan(who I will from here out assume is the Mayor-king's son), but different enough looking(and older ) that I would guess he is likely Xan's uncle, the mayor-king's brother....is there some way to abbreviate mayor-king? and how do you address him? is he "Your highness?" and why a mayor-king? are there little outside settlements of Relecross or something? sorry, those questions just kinda popped up. also, I find it interesting that Peroe appears to has two sabers random prediction: considering that Xan appears to be a future character I would guess that he was right and his dad will fly off the handle, and that is why he goes from "well-off" to "living with a half-wolf and her friends."

Ahaha, right, I've been meaning to explain the concept of a mayor-king. *pulls out chalkboard* Take notes, kids (XD Not really.) The mayor-king is the title of the person in charge of Relecross, and is pretty much exclusive to that city. The town was founded a few generations ago by, you guessed it, the Relecross family, and it didn't take long to grow into a pretty big place. The original founders set up a political system in which the Relecross family would continue to rule the town, passing the job from parent to child--the king part--unless one of the leaders went bad. In that case, the townspeople have the right to vote the leader out of office, and elect someone else to lead the city--the mayor part. However, obviously, the Relecross family has done an okay job, and they're still in charge. Anyway, you'd address the mayor-king (which you can just abbreviate to MK or something, if you want. I don't care.) as either "sir", or simply, "Mr. Relecross." XD Nothing special. Also, Relecross, like most other cities in Rokenthia, stands alone, relatively far apart from other towns. Since areas of civilization are so far apart, most of the towns just govern themselves however they please, and stay out of each other's business. Since the rural areas tend to be rather heavily populated with demons and the like, most people are content to stay in and around the towns, though fights between close cities for land aren't unheard of.
Wow, that was a nice info dump. I'll shut up now before I say something I shouldn't XD.

LordSeth you rat bastard. l:^(
Yeah, I think that the MK is Xan's father, who may understand how spoiled his son is. As a result I think he will send his son on an absurd quest to toughen him up. That thought is coming from no where, but yeah. Sorry for not setting this up, I got exams this week, and things got crazy when I joined DA, so yeah. But it all worked out for the better.

thinking a little more it does seem more likely that The MK won't be as harsh as I predicted (cause that would mean he'd be voted out ) But I'd agree with Erro that going on a quest would help Xan's personality. Also in that since he, probably, knows about dragons AND dreamers he'd want to know what's going on. I don't think Riza's here to start a new species, and the dragon wars are over with; so what's going on that means new dreamers? I'd want in the know, and Your son, a presumably combat capable fire mage, would be a good choice. He gets life lessons and you get to know a world important thing.
