So yeah. Who here plays pokemon DPP or HGSS? Friend codes? Why not? Got something pokemon related? Post it here. Pretty simple.
Friend Code: Platinum- 1248-0617-3183
I have HG I just want to beat it and make a solid team before giving people my friend codes.

Oh God you'll NEVER update if you play pokemon, that game is the biggest time sink ever invented. XD But get it anyway. Just because.

XD Because I'm obviously so good at updating on time as is. On that note, though, I just finished the second page for tomorrow, so there WILL be a regular update for once.

Red & Blue are awesome. When you end up with several hundred "looks like slightly different humans with superpowers", though, it kinda takes away what fascinated me with it in the first place. Plus, why so many legendaries?!

There are far too many legendaries. However I do not understand your "slightly different than humans thing". While there might be somewhat humanoid pokemon in the later games there have never been any so rediculously humanoid like Mr.Mime or Jynx. Those are just stupid. Most pokemon aren't all that humanoid at all, and almost none seem to be human. In fact the worst generation for pokemon design was the first one.
I can hear the game designers saying it now. "uh for this pokemon, Electrode... its... uh... a ball. That explodes. Pretty original huh?" Yeah no, the new pokemon aren't that bad, just give the new games a chance.

My real interest in Pokemon sank to it's lowest shortly after ruby/saph were released. At that point I really didn't care. Of course time and nostalgia, I remember facts, and hang the old times in pride. I never owned a game past gen II, so I can't say too much, some times the pokemon do seem ridiculous, but I do remember how the first generation wasn't even really special. Regular snakes. Birds. some rock things. True Gen I wasn't the most original, but it had it's times. (sigh Charizard)
I actually tried to get back into crystal version, the only one I, not my brothers, own and know where is. That is what I consider the best pokemon game I've played. Ruins of Alph expansion, not having to chase down suicune, Battle Tower. oh yeah crystal had those. and like the other gen IIs THE ABILITY TO GO BACK TO KANTO. two continents? nowhere else but gen II. unfortunately my save battery is effectively dead. My only real hope is to put in my brothers SP, which he lets me do, and keep the charger in for a continuous playtime. If I'm lucky the save battery will revive for short times. so that takes a bit of patience.
But I can't speak of as much experience, as Crystal and Red are the only ones I've beaten. I know a small number of Gen III pokemon, but Gen IV eludes me. I'm a bit surprised I could write all this on pokemon.
Also did you hear about Black and White versions coming out soon? what do you think the 3rd version will be? spectrum?

Maybe they'll go with final fantasy magic themes. Black + white + Red...oh no, wait. they did that one already. it was sweet. Ultraviolet? now I'm just making things up. Funny thing happened yesterday afternoon. On the bus ride home from a track meet I decided to draw a kinda-tiers list for legendaries. Mew, celebi, girachi on top because they are impossible to normally catch. Mewtwo, raquaza, ho oh... and so on next. anyways As i started to draw girachi my friend next to me was playing Pearl and he wanted me to look through the pokedex (no I don't think he had a clue what I was doing) and so I looked. And then I gave up the project. Why? Because I discovered Diamond and Pearl, by themselves, had added 13 legendaries. THIRTEEN! I had no idea where to place most of them, but I was expecting to run into some unknowns, easily fixed. but THIRTEEN!? I think this is one of my favorite comics: www.vgcats.com/comics/?strip_id=263just because it can be so accurate. also anyone else notice it's spelled Unown not unknown? Does that mean it's pronounce un-own? makes me smirk when people do call them the unknown. also. Missing no.
