You guys may have noticed that the images on the site are acting pretty weird. Sometimes they're there, sometimes they're not. While I'm not sure why that specifically is happening, I assume it's because I'm currently trying to use them on two sites. That'll change soon.
Anyway, concerning fixing my not-exactly-reliable free host issue, I decided to hunt for a new one with the intention of paying for the hosting and to get my own domain. Well...I'm still sort of short on cash, so finding a good, relatively cheap host was not as easy as I thought it'd be. Plus, for as much as they advetise "$.$$ a month", 99% want you to pay in advance, and the less time you pay for, the more it costs "monthly". That, and very few would accept Paypal payments without an attached credit card, which I don't have ><.
SO I ended up making a decision that I didn't ever think I was going to: I went back to SmackJeeves. Only this time, I looked into their relatively new Premium hosting. It allows for a good deal more than their free hosting (like your own domain XD) at a price I could afford. That, and I've used SJ for a long time, I know how everything works, and I like the community. Also, now that I've had the lovely experience of designing my own site from scratch, manipulating their layout to do what I want it to is really easy. Finally, I don't have to keep bugging my SJ readers to come over to another site XD.
Ultimately, you guys probably aren't going to notice any differences other than a few layout and url changes. SJ allows comment posting from non-users, so no worries there (and I don't have to deal with Wordpress anymore, haha). Right now things aren't working quite right yet, but when I get it all together I'll change all the links to point to the new site and all that.
Currently, however, it's 4:30 in the morning, and I need sleep -.- I'll fix the site(s) tomorrow. 'Night, all.
