I sure as hell am. Though I am not happy about Issun being your guide again, they developed his character enough, nothing more needs to be done with him. But seriously the DS can pull off these graphics?! I am soo suprised and hopeful. But I'm not sure if Capcom will screw it up. I sure as hell hope not. www.youtube.com/watch?v=KdeTgOQxligwww.youtube.com/watch?v=feff427bWTwwww.youtube.com/watch?v=feff427bWTwOh and this thread can ALSO be about discussion on the original game because we all know it's one of the best games ever.

hm! I am still playing Okami, after wanting it for so long (from playing the awesome that was Viewtiful Joe) I was recently able to borrow a copy! unfortunately, I haven't really been able to put too much play time into it and am still around NineTails. I beat him once, but I don't remember if I saved or not. Oh well, I'm working on it. But yeah, great game! unless the Wii-mote acts up... I currently don't like Issun, the not so subtle perv, but my friend keeps assuring me he gets a lot better by the end. Well, when the sequel comes out looks like I'll be borrowing my brothers' DS's a lot!

Finish it. The last "story arc" is the best. Even better than the one with Orochi. Yeah. THAT GOOD.

I wouldn't expect anything else from Clover except awesomeness. Yeah. THAT GOOD.

I actually just finished Okami on Saturday (SO PRETTY), and this is pretty much the first I've heard of a sequel. I'm definitely curious because the first game was so awesome, but looking at the trailer, I'm a little iffy. Not so sure about the puppy thing. Putting it on the DS is a good idea for the whole pen/touchscreen capability, and the graphics look nice, but the DS does have limits on that. I can't help but think putting it on a handheld is gonna take away from the overall prettiness, and probably make the gameplay tougher because the DS controls aren't quite as smooth. At least, it won't live up to the first one. That, and I can't imagine that the story will be quite as good. And again...not sure I like the puppy. Not as cute as I would think it should be XD. Of course, I could be totally wrong on all of that. I'm still definitely willing to give it a try, and therefore still looking forward to it :3.

Well the great thing about okami is the way the atmosphere works with the music; you listen to the music on its own and it's not as epic (still amazing, but not epic). But when you listen to it with the events of the story and the feelings that these events give you, the music is simply GODLY and the impact of the story DOUBLES.
Here is the problem: the musical and visual capabilities of the DS do not equal that of a PS2 or a WII. As a result the "atmosphere" will suffer due to the weaker graphics, and the music may suffer. If the music suffers than the issues with the atmosphere of the game suffer more because they don't recieve any additional epic from the music. THIS DOES NOT MEAN IT WON'T BE GOOD! It just means that there is less to expect. =(
Is it just me or are we connected by an epic circle of gaming?

"Atmosphere". That's the word I was looking for XD. But that's exactly it, yeah. I'm not saying it'll be a bad game, but like you said, there'll be less to expect, what with the DS's limitations.
XD Apparently we are. But that's okay, because video games are fun :3 (I probably owe DC's existence to them--my very first OCs and stories were inspired by and intended for video games, not comics. XD That came later, when the games eventually led me to manga.)

I do owe my comic making to video games because my first comic I got into making was based off of one!
on another note, my Okami progress: Beat Orochi...again found the final constellation.
Beat Okami! that was sweet. Now I am really more interested in the sequel.

New Okamiden trailer out (excluding the E3 one which you all saw I hope) This one is soo badass www.youtube.com/watch?v=oxYlQlmAEpwWe finally get to see some new "companion" characters and bosses. I just hope the music is as good as it sounds in this trailer. And lets hope this game makes me cry buckets like the last one did.

Damn straight.
The E3 trailer was pretty good too, even though it was kind of long, and even though it showed less gameplay just got people caught up in the storyline. Lets just hope that the story doesn't get screwed up by Capcom, seeing as they don't have Clover behind the wheel.

So, who played this game. Thoughts? Did you cry at the end? I know I did.
If people have played this game then reading posts beyond this one will probably be spoilers.
